Typhoon News: Light Typhoon "Pabuk" is going to pay Taiwan a visit and will be leaving on August 8, Central weather agency says. The IEEE/LEOS 2007 Conference on Optical and Nanophotoincs is not affected by this weather phenomenon, is going to procced as planed. A caution for those early birds who come to Taiwan early, is worth to watching out for suddent heavy showers and strong wind. Other than that, the weather remind suny, temparture 30 – 35°C.

The 2007 IEEE International Conference on Optical MEMS and Nanophotonics will be held on August 12–16, in Farglory Hotel, Hualien, Taiwan. We are delighted for your participation. Below are some reminders that we would like to convey to you.

  1. Conference Registration will be started at 15:00 on August 12.

  2. Please provide your registration number to the Registration area to expedite the registration process. If you are an IEEE member or a student, kindly bring your IEEE membership card or student identification card which is needed for your registration.

  3. The Welcome Reception will be held in the Piazza Bar of Farglory Hotel at 17:30 on August 12.

  4. If you have a poster presentation, the standard size of poster is A0 size, about 84 cm wide, 119cm high. The poster area (Windsor Hall, next to Main Conference Room) will be opened for mounting posters from 10:30 to 12:00 on August 14.

  5. If you have registered to the pre-conference tour, please be attended in the lobby of Farglory Hotel on August 12 before 08:30. You will be led into the Taroko National Park. We suggest you to wear with light clothes, thin jacket, sports shoes. It is also advised that you bring hat, towel, and apply sunscreen lotion in advance.
